Student Wellbeing and Advice team

Confidential, non‑academic advice on personal, health and financial matters — with referrals to specialist services when needed.

Disability & learning support

Learning Support Plans, assistive technology and tailored academic guidance for students with disabilities or long‑term conditions.

Adele Chan, Year 2

My favourite thing about living in Brighton, I am giving the most basic answer but it has to be the beach just because I can run to it whenever I want. I can run along the seafront, cycle along it or even just walking down the pier at sunset. It’s the best feeling ever. And also Brighton is very big with live music and I am a sucker for concerts and festivals.

Medic families

A ready‑made peer network with ‘parents’ and ‘siblings’ who’ll help you settle in and navigate the course.

International student support

Practical guidance, language support and events to help you feel at home.

Seth Taopo, Year 1

My favourite thing about BSMS is the support you get, even from the start. In day one, they emphasise how much help you can get from student wellbeing, to friends, to staff, but also academic wise you have your medic family that they give you so they definitely reinforce the help that they have.
